Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Claims Adjuster to join our dynamic team. The Claims Adjuster will play a crucial role in managing and resolving insurance claims efficiently and fairly. This position offers the opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment, where you can showcase your expertise in assessing and evaluating claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Claims Assessment: Investigate, assess, and evaluate insurance claims to determine coverage, liability, and damages.
  • Documentation: Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of claim files, including reports, photos, and records.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with policyholders, claimants, legal professionals, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with claimants and manage claim payments.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential fraud and work collaboratively with the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) when necessary.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service throughout the claims process.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all industry regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in claims adjusting or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze information and make informed decisions.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Proficient in Xactimate.
  • Licensed (as required).
