Effective hurricane insurance claims handling requires more than deploying qualified adjusters. Most conversations about CAT readiness focus on the same variables – adjuster availability, deployment speed, roster depth, geographic coverage. These are real operational considerations, and the carriers that haven’t addressed them before a storm forms will pay for it. 

But in our experience, many CAT responses don’t fail because the vendor couldn’t deploy. They fail because the operation couldn’t convert inspections into complete, submittable files. 

The inspection happens. The submission doesn’t follow. Or it follows late. Or it follows with documentation thin enough that the carrier desk sends it back – and the cycle repeats while the deployment is still running at full volume. 

In our experience, the deployments that produce fewer late files, avoidable returns, and carrier desk rework are not always the ones that mobilized fastest.
